Crossing Paths

[This trip has been interesting. He's been riding with Cas either behind him or in front of him on the roaring bike. It has also been distracting having her lethal body pressed against him. It's hard to stay focused on driving.

He pulls off the road kicking the bike stand beneath him. He can tell that he's entered Kevin's territory.]

[Toby pulls Cas closer to his chest.]

[Toby leans forward and lightly kisses the top of Cas's head.]

We're going to dinner and Kevin really likes to eat. [And not pay for it.]

[Stepping in at that moment just made him narrow his eyes. He'd been distracted on the way over, but it was a really small town. The comfort inn wasn't hard to find.]

Don't you guys have something better to talk about than me?

[Toby looks over and smiles at his brother.]

Nope, you know what it’s like having a big family.

[He’s sure they talk about him too, just not when he’s around.

Toby stands, keeping Cas at his side as he does.]

Where do you want to go little brother?

[He shakes his head.]

There's a diner on the other side of town that gives you a lot of food. [He smiles.] We can head there.

[Cas smiles over to Kevin, and according to Toby's description, not surprised by the diner suggestion.] Sounds like a plan.

[Toby lifts his shoulders in a shrug. He’ll always worry though he is decent at hiding it.]

[He gestures to Kevin to lead and then lightly places his hand at the base of Cas’s back. He doesn’t like holding hands but he likes staying close to her and he found that this is the easiest way considering their height differences.]

[Kevin takes the lead, Cas staying at Toby's side, watching the two of them with interest.

Kevin runs a hand back through his hair and starts toward the door.]

Want to walk? It's not far. The town's pretty small.

[Cas shrugs.] Sure. Sounds like fun. [She doesn't say anything for a moment before tilting her head to the side and glancing up at Toby before looking back to Kevin.] You smell a lot like that female from before.

[Kevin swallows but doesn't say anything.] I thought you worked until 6.

[Toby follows Cas allowing her to take the lead. His hand stays in hers though there is resistance when she mentions the smell. His eyes then move over to Kevin who is clearly not feeling comfortable.]
